Vinyl: Grateful Dead Dave's Picks Vol 1 5/25/77 NEW SEALED VINYL 1495/5000 5LP 180g

Up for grabs is the first volume of the Dave's Picks Series of Grateful Dead archival releases in vinyl format. This was the first show released in the Series in 2012 on cd, and was also chosen to kick off the vinyl releases (the next vinyl was Pick 23, then Pick 2, so not following any known order for these vinyl versions). Like the cd version, this deluxe 5 180gm LP version sold out quickly upon release. This copy is still sealed and numbered 1495/5000. The music is from the end of the band's fabled Spring 1977 tour. Highlights include the dual opening combo of Mississippi Half-Step and Jack Straw, a lovely and dynamic performance of Peggy-O. Things really heat up with the classic Scarlet Begonias> Fire On the Mountain combo, followed by a wonderful segment of Estimated Prophet> He's Gone> Drums> The Other One> Wharf Rat> The Other One> The Wheel.
