Here is what we can tell you about it.

The very first run of 1967 pressings had a mis-spelling on the cover for track B5 (the word "Postures" was accidentally spelled "Posturos"). This was quickly spotted and corrected in 1967, and was spelled correctly on all subsequent releases from late 1967 on. The copy we are offering here has the correct spelling, so it is not a very first run pressing.

However, it could be a late 1967 pressing, as the shrink wrap plastic has small breathe holes. The cover feels rather thick, and the total sealed weight is 11.2 ounces. There is no text or catalog number on the spine. Track A5 is credited to "M. Whitmark & Sons- A.S.C.A.P." and the other nine tracks are credited to "Tapier Music- B.M.I.".

According to the Discogs website, the 1978 covers were made of thinner and lighter cardboard than the 1960's pressings.

Bottom line, with the record being still sealed we are not certain if this is a sixties or seventies pressing. We do not guarantee it is a 1960's pressing, but we strongly believe that it is.

The cover has a bit of what looks like dry dusty dirt underneath the shrink wrap plastic, some of which might wipe away if it was opened but we cannot guarantee this either. There are also a few small "dot" marks on the front of the cover underneath the shrink wrap that look like they probably will not be coming off if opened. There is a 1 inch light crease near the bottom right corner, and a bit of very light creasing in the top right corner. The cover is overall nicely preserved and the record inside is unplayed.

All of our LP's are shipped in sturdy cardboard LP mailers with appropriate padding.

With the exception of sealed LP's, all LP's are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting. Upon request, we will give your sealed LP's the same treatment.

All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an "overall presentation" grade; we do not give a "listening" grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it "really" looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). LPs are graded cover first, followed by the grade for the vinyl.
