TEMA DEL LUPO / APRI LE BRACCIA ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by IVANO ALBERTO FOSSATI & OSCAR PRUDENTE. Original Italian pressing on the CETRA NUMERO UNO label (SP 1551) from 1974. Outstanding jazz funk single by the flute player from cult Italian prog group, Delirium. Our Italian single is the original 1st pressing with picture sleeve / correct Italian title and artist details. TEMA DEL LUPO was released in Italy a full year before being licensed to the American Roulette label under Fossati's Al Foster Band pseudonym and re-titled Night Of The Wolf. Also, far superior to the Puerto Rican white label bootleg on Numero Uno. All later pressings are common 2nd / 3rd issues compared to the Italian original. Top club tune (the opening theme of Keb Darge during a DJ set in Milan) and basically, 4mins of killer breaks. Tons of psychedelic flute / delirious guitar vamps / aggressive B-boy drums / fender rhodes / funky congas and basslines. Comped by Dr. Bob Jones and Keb Darge on Jazz Spectrum for the BBE label too. Obscure Italian prog at its absolute funkiest. Very rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some light scuffs and hairlines. Booming production sound. Surface noises to intro but all copies seem to have this. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear. Creasing and a few stains from storage (front and back). Some age spotting and natural age discoloration (again common for this single). Very rare 45!!!
