Is this Item a Fake or Counterfeit?
Here is a rarely seen oddity from IRAN.This is how The Beatles, Sgt Pepper was released in Iran during the days of the Shah's reign.LP's were too expensive for most people,so this 2x 45's offering was the solution to the problem.
When the revolution was complete by the late 1970's, western recordings such as this were banned forthwith, and stocks were destroyed en-mass....most Iranians who loved this music had to hide their collections or face the ire of the authorities.
I have no idea of how many of the Sgt Pepper double ep's were made, but they rarely appear for sale.
The cover has survived well for such a flimsy paper sleeve...has some creasing on the bottom opening edge,a small corner crease on the top opening edge, light pressure marks from the records, and a small split on the top fold of the front, however, the cover is nice and bright with virtually no wearing.
Both records play very well, and I'm grading them visually as VG ( or better). The only feelable marks that cause some light background ticks are on the track 'With a little help from my friends' but the track plays without skipping and the clicks are pretty well overwhelmed by the music.I've tried to photograph the area involved.
The labels are in EX shape.
The long note at the end of 'A day in the life' is clipped from the pressing.
And the run out space on the records is very narrow, and in some cases,an auto turntable may lift just before the records finish
Any other minor marks are not significant in the reproduction quality, but remember these records were never regarded as audiophile pressings.
I will say, that in my opinion the records provide a very decent audio quality, and the rarity makes the set a most worthwhile addition to a serious Beatles collection.

Postage is only an estimate, but for international buyers, the packet will need signature confirmation of delivery.
