About FOR THE RECORD: This is one of the thousands of lps from the archive belonging to rock journalist and Bomp Records founder Greg Shaw. Greg passed in 2004, and we are his family. We inherited a small portion of a collection originally in excess of 1M titles. Greg took excellent care of his lps, and often bought records with the intention of archiving them immediately. Consequently, the titles are largely in the condition they were in when originally purchased. We are just beginning to make these titles available for sale. We have many more titles available, and welcome serious private browsers, altho the collection is at present not fully inventoried. Please stop by often, as we will be listing new titles weekly. The collection spans 50 years of rock, garage psych, power pop, punk, indie, goth, prog, industrial, rockabilly, country, surf, new wave, Bristish invasion, rock 'n roll, girl groups, blues, folk, funk, R 'n B, jazz, compilations, box sets, private pressings, acetates, hundreds of test pressings, cassette demos and 'zines.

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE PLACING A BID! Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Shipping charges are not negotiable. If you don't want to pay them, please dont bid. If you do not see it in the listing,(via picture or description) than more than likely it is not included. Please DONT ASSUME! When in doubt please ASK! I make every effort to describe merchandise, but some people just see things differently than others. The key is communication. If you have not contacted me within 48 hours of the auction ending, I reserve the right to relist without providing any notice to you.

GRADING GUIDELINES!

(NM or Near Mint) NM records are glossy with no scratches or scuffs. Labels are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or spindle marks. The album cover has no creases, folds, ringwear, split seams or writing. It is rare to come across records of any age in this near-perfect condition.

(EX or Excellent) A record that was clearly well-cared for. There may be slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches on the record that do not affect the listening experience. Specific defects (such as initials or spindle marks on the labels) will be noted. An EX cover may show light creases, faint yellowing or have a cutout marking, small hole punch, or a small amount of ring wear.

(VG+ or Very Good Plus) Sometimes a record will be graded as VG+ if has one or two scuffs but is otherwise EX. Surface noise will still be negligible and there will be very little to detract from the listening experience. The label may show spindle marks. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs (though not all at once!).

(VG or Very Good) records will still play loud and clear, although there may be some noise during quiet passages or between songs. May contain flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I usually do not list records lower than the above grades.

Remember, when you are bidding, some of these records are 50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.
