Obviously, 90% of the LP's I've ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, I've decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there!!! THIS IS A REAL ONE-OFF OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A USED, BUT STILL VERY PRESENTABLE AND SURPRISINGLY BRILLIANT SOUNDING EXAMPLE OF THIS MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF STONES HISTORY - THE OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE WITHDRAWN 2:52 DEMO TELL ME VERSION OF THEIR ICONIC DEBUT!!! THIS SIMPLY NEVER EVER TURNS UP, ESPECIALLY WITH THE EARLIEST EVER 1A 1A MATRIXES!!! AND IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, IT ALSO INCLUDES THE VERY RARE WITHDRAWN MONA AND “MAKE IT YOU TRY" MISPRINT SLEEVE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! WELL HERE IT IS - THE VERY RAREST STONES LP EVER COMMERCIALLY RELEASED!!! CONTAINS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RECORDING OF "TELL ME",THE VERY FIRST JAGGER RICHARDS SONG TO EVER BE RELEASED!!! ONLY A HANDFUL OF THESE EVER ESCAPED THE PRESSING PLANT!!! In the frenzy of launching the first ever LP of the iconic band that would eventually go on to be the biggest and best in the world, someone at Decca mistakenly used an earlier take of Tell Me on the master instead of the re-recording that we all know and love (though in my opinion, this earlier version is probably better)!!! This was noticed JUST after pressing had begun and was IMMEDIATELY repressed with the correct 4:06 take, resulting in this being THE very rarest commercially released Stones LP out there!!! And not only that, this record is the ONLY time this version of Tell Me has EVER been issued!!! WE ARE TALKING AN ICONIC PIECE OF TRUE ROCK & ROLL HISTORY HERE!!! RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO FIND AN EARLIEST EVER 1A 1A EXAMPLE OF THIS MILESTONE IN ROCK (AND THAT’S AN UNDERSTATEMENT)!!! Do NOT miss out on this, for it will surely be a VERY long time before it comes around again, if ever - bid now!!! Trivia : This was the first band who had the balls to not put their name on the front of their debut LP!!! About : Ultra Rare Original 1964 WITHDRAWN 1A 1A UK 1st Press!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!! The LP : Labels : Classic UK 1st Press red ridged "Unboxed” Decca labels!!! Both sides are GREAT with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has spindle marking and a little ruffling from general use over the years, and only a small name written on side A!!! GREAT for a 50 year old record of this rarity!!! Both must grade overall at least as Good!!! Record : Visual - Spectacular Original 1966 UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, and shiny with fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks OK with no excessively nasty marks, nothing that ruins playback, and NO vicious gauges either!!! It just has general age wear such as a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, some minor scratches here and there, and some mild hairlines from general use over the years - obvious wear, but nothing critical whatsoever!!! Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with smoothness of playback at all thanks to the quality deeply pressed 1st Press!!! Well used, but still presentable for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall visually at least as Fair++++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) Record : Audio - Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It really sounds great with NO hops, distortion, sticks OR skips!!! Only (like pretty much all records) has a touch of low level static in places such as on the run in grooves, some general light surface noise here and there such as the odd mild brief hiss and a small amount of light ticks on rare occasions, and just a touch of mild "bluesman's fag" crackle and pop in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections and between tracks, but it really doesn't overshadow the music AT ALL!!! (it's much more soft and atmospheric rather than the sound of bacon frying!!!) I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! A hugely enjoyable listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl!!! AMAZING for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably at the very least as Very Good!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) Sleeve : Original UK 1964 1st press front laminated flipback “MacNeill" WITHDRAWN Mona and “Make It You Try” misprint sleeve complete with original inner!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT too bad at all, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO splits, NO graffiti, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few signs of minor ageing such as general light age creasing and a touch of a record imprint, some general minor ageing to the unlaminated back such as some minor staining here and there, some discolouration to the white colour and a small name and address written to the top left (nothing overly drastic at all), a touch of denting/rounding to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! Despite ageing, this is a well presentable sleeve and a TRUE rarity to find one as strong, unsplit and as undamaged as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! The iconic pics look awesome!!! It remains strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains solid, unsplit and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Good!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps! Postage and packing (UK bidders) will be £4.49 for the first item, £3.00 for every item after that. International buyers, postage is £8.99 for the first item, £3.00 for every item after that. Contact is expected to be made within 3 days, and payment usually expected within 7 days of the auction ending, otherwise you may lose priority over the item and it may be relisted e.t.c.
