This was recorded in October 1963, when the Miracles still included Claudette Robinson, Smokey's wife, in the lineup; she sings lead on "Let It Snow." Smokey contributes one original, the mid-tempo "Christmas Everyday," that stands as one of the finest Motown seasonal favorites, and one of Smokey's most memorable performances of his long career .

(a) WE GRADE THE VINYL AS VERY GOOD+ (VG+) . CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, but is nevertheless in a very nice and clean condition. There are some surface marks and abrasions, mostly light and superficial, although some may be longer than 1.1/4 inches (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters); NOTE: A VISIBLE AND FEELABLE 3-INCH SCRATCH NOTED ON THE LAST TWO TRACKS ON SIDE 2 CAUSE SOME LIGHT, LOW-KEY CLICKS AND POPS

(b) as you can see, the condition of this album is not mint or near mint; however, we will never stop marveling at how these old records, despite their wear and tear STILL manage to play almost two levels above their visual grade. Simply put: the record plays much better than it looks AND WITHOUT ANY DISTORTION WHATSOEVER. This record WAS play-graded.

(c) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d) The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).

(e) Stereo copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

(f) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
