Vinyl: 16” Radio Transcription BABE RUTH Bird Hunting 1937

You are bidding on a 16-inch radio transcription disc as recorded by the WOR Special Features Department on December 10, 1937. This is a complete 15 minute broadcast using shortwave equipment as recorded from the field by WOR’s Dave Driscoll. From the quail and pheasant hunt at Forked River, NJ, Babe Ruth is interviewed as is Harry Armstrong from the Fish & Game Department, NJ. Ruth talks about the hunt, many shots are fired, and many birds are shot out of the air. The disc is in excellent condition with excellent audio. A real curiosity, but this is actuality radio from 1937!
