2nd State Butcher Cover, Original Mono Pressing of Yesterday & Today. RIAA Number on the back cover is 3.

The Matrix Numbers in the dead wax end in F-21 on Side 1 & G-18 on Side 2 .

Includes original “Capitol '66” Inner Sleeve. (Golden Orange with “PE 12-2FS” & Printed in the USA on bottom corner.

The record has a tic/jump on “Act Naturally” (Described below and Listenable in Sample #2) Please be aware of this before bidding as I will not accept returns.

Sleeve is VG+, some light ring, corner & edge wear and a small split at the center of the spine which does not affect legibility of the title & catalog info. The bottom corners are slightly dinged with the back spine corner exhibiting a slight crinkle. The opening edge bottom corner is slightly peeled back but it seems almost incidental, it does not get to the “Butcher” level as far as I can tell. There are some small brown stain spots in one section of the back cover and another slightly larger set of light stains on the Capitol logo on the front and the corresponding area of the back. Additionally, there are a couple of dings to the cover slick along the top front cover edge.

Vinyl is Graded as G+, playback is clean with only occasional light surface noise through Side 1 until near the end of “Yesterday.” A series of tics begins toward the end of “Yesterday” and is audible into “Act Naturally” and then there is a pop followed by a tic/jump during “Act Naturally” which is associated with a scratch in the vinyl that runs through the last half of the song & results in some tics after the tic/jump (Listen to Audio samples below). Side 2 has a bit more surface noise than Side 1. Fidelity is quite nice, actually, but the surface marks that are present result in fairly regular light surface noise. If not for the tics & the jump on side 1 I would rate this one as Strong VG but, alas, the damage cannot be denied. The vinyl itself has a nice sheen though it has several surface marks & scuffs in addition to the scratch mentioned above. Labels are clean.

Inner Sleeve is VG with some bent corners & crinkles and a split along the center of the bottom edge.
