NOTES

First release First Issue With top opening G & L Gatefold Sleeve, Black Inners, Poster & 4 Colour Prints, Dark Green Label With & "Sold In The UK...." Text. Numbered Edition. This was released in error without the text 'E.M.I. Recording' on the label, and so a second issue was quickly released that has the correct labels.

DESCRIPTION

COVER

Original laminate is clean and bright, it can only be described as NM+ or M- No tears or rips to the cover, only some minuscule creases at the corners (see pictures), Nothing to detract from it's superlative condition for an album that is not 'Brand-New"

SPINE

Very minor storage wear. No tears or rips and the wording and catalogue number are blemish free.

INNER SLEEVES

Original Apple black Inner Sleeves showing slight wear in accordance with age, no creases but a tiny half inch split is starting in the centre of one of the seams. This is not an issue as we supply premium grade Anti-static liners with all our records. Free of charge.

LABELS

Pristine condition (Both Sides) with no spindle marking conversant with records that have been very carefully handled by their previous owner(s).

DISC

Record One plays like it is 'brand new' quite amazing. The mono sound is sublime, deep tone and a rich resonance to the bass. There is no surface noise at all through playback, no clicks or undue pops and certainly no crackles. This album has only been played on high-end stereo equipment and as far as we can tell (from careful grading on our in house Michel transcriptor with SME tonearm and high end Ortofon cartridge) it is faultless...a very rare record in this collectors grade/archive condition. A true collectors dream.

Record Two plays as record one, clear, bright and without any audible pops, clicks or undue surface noise whatsoever. There are a couple of very minor surface blemishes (but nothing is audible).

We NEVER list a record we know/suspect has been played as Mint. Both records show minimal wear with only very minor surface/paper blemishes which are inaudible.

This record is advertised elsewhere and may be removed from auction at any time before the listing is scheduled to end. It can be made available at our North Devon Shop for a private viewing by appointment.

90% OF OUR RECORDS ARE SOURCED FROM PRIVATE COLLECTIONS, WE CAN OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES, AND ON DELIVERY COSTS, PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR OTHER LISTINGS.

RECORD GRADING

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

WE ONLY LIST RECORDS GRADED VERY GOOD OR BETTER

All our Records are supplied with a Heavy Grade 'Collectors Quality' PVC Outer Sleeve and the record(s) will be removed from its original inner sleeve and placed into a Spin Care Premium Japanese Hikari 12" Anti-Static Inner Vinyl Record Sleeve for posting.
