Vinyl: Thad Jones on Blue Note 1546

This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Thad Jones “The Magnificent” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1546. The flat rim playing surface is in exceptional condition, with a nice luster; perhaps played once or twice. The reversed-frame West 63rd St. cover is bright and clean; 1 ¾” ding at the upper right corner; surface flaking along the top seam and 2” wear at the spine; surface flaking along the spine and 7 ½” repaired split; ½” rubbing at lower left corner of the front..
