Legendary and totally outstanding double LP production originally released on the very small Union label, founded by G.P.Ricci and Remigio Ducros. One of the rarest Library albums ever - almost impossible to find - a true holy grail for record collectors all over the world. Golden material and absolutely top of the top samples here for DJs, producers, groove hunters, crate diggers, dusty fingers etc. This double monster features some of the hottest Breakbeats, Funk and Psychedelic tunes from Italy, with mental grooves, samples and themes all played with an heavy instrumentation. Booming studio production and insane early '70s Italian classy and creative mood music Library work conceived as score for some obscure TV sport programmes, with the killer sleeve artwork reproducing many sport protagonists of the 70s. Entirely composed and realized by the brilliant Remigio Ducros with the auxiliary of Piero Umiliani's Sound Work Shop engineer Claudio Budassi, Library men behind other masterpieces like AMERICA AMORE AMARO, AMERICA GIOVANE 1, TEMPO DI NAJA ecc. with Daniela Casa playing all the guitar Fuzz arrangements, percussions, effects and vocal accompaining on the crazy Scat vocals. The obscure Gian Piero Ricci was an able banjo player of the time who also played in several important Italian soundtracks and Jazz records but especially as TV producer. Hot Funk lava and terrific breaks throughout with mindmelting groovy beats / Psychedelic and Fuzz guitars arrangements with a overpowering bassline / loads of any kind of strange percussions and exotic instruments with crazy drums, congas and bongos / killing football themed Scat vocals and chorus with lovely da-ba-da, scia-da-ba etc. set vocals / Funky flute and stunning piano groove / insane Samba kicks and Brazilian influenced music / several Experimental and Avant-garde music cuts with general Rock and Jazz shades / largest set of moody themes with always a certain catching driven beat. The best Bboy drums ever backed by insane Fuzz guitar, mental Hip Hop beats and sincerely the hottest Funk groove I ever heard on a Library record! - to follow the crazy fuzzy jams "MOTOCROSS" and "GROSSE CILINDRATE" with Daniela Casa killing at the Psychedelic guitar with downtempo Fuzz refrain, huge drum breaks and thrilling percussions. Both are also comped on CRIMINALE series reissues along with CANOTTAGGIO. More killing driven beats on "VIRTUOSISMO GENERICO" and "GALOPPO" with crazy congas and insane driving piano groove, straightforward bassline and dope obsessive theme. Insane bass on "NUOTO" with Spinet and crawling instrumenation. Several Avat-garde Free Jazz themes on the various "FORCING", "RUGBY", "PISCINA COPERTA" etc. "ULTIMI MINUTI" is another obsessive tune with bongo madness and Drama mood. Then "BOB" along with "CALCIO SAMBA" are incredible Scat bangers with stunning Samba beat and rhythmical choral sessions, '70s Lounge Scat mood with dope Brazilian and Exotica influences; amazing scats deserving of I Cantori Moderni Di Alessandroni. "VELA" is another dope Scat one with its enchanting loungy style and mindmelting rhythmic session with Bossa drums and catching exotic percussions with amazing flute notes. Crazy D.Casa Sitar drugs on the two "LO SPORT ORIENTALE" with esoteric eastern moods. Mega-Rare Italian Library set, don't sleep!
Records: visually appear VG with loads of surface marks. Sound is a clean VG+ after a deep cleaning service and restoring. Clean sound with only light background noises and local deeper scuffings. Check the clip. Cover: general wear on the whole sleeve especially on borders, quite used copy but safe VG condition.
