This is a new Complete Montparnasse 2000 Music Library, plus
new Chappell and TeleMusic CD's. They were bought in 1989
for the third of three production studio's. However, due to heavy
over production in the market, the third studio was never opened
(only tests), and most items were sold off. A few items have
remained. We are moving, and stuff must go. The records originally
came with thin plastic sleeves, which were inadequate. They were
replaced with stronger paper sleeves, a practice we used in the
other studios. I have learned throughout the years that it is best
not to keep putting the records in and out of the jackets, as it can
eventually result in damage to the records, sleeves, and jackets.
I have always kept the records/sleeves separate from the jackets,
which are scanned and archived, and viewed on the computer.
The sleeves are clearly labeled with the album number in the upper
left hand corners. Unfortunately, I found that albums 50 and 99 had
stuck together during storage and some damage occurred when
separating them (see photo). Album 15 is blank and has the information
taped to it (that is how it came). If you decide to put the record/sleeves
in the jackets, it is my experience that sometimes the jacket seam can
start to separate. Don't panic, it is easily fixed. Insert wax paper under
the seam to prevent glue from sealing the jacket together. Spread Elmers
glue sparingly and evenly on the seem with your finger, and use a moderate
weight to hold it in place (only what is necessary to hold the seam together).
If done correctly, little or no glue will squeeze out, and wax paper under
and over the jacket is unnecessary. With a little practice, the repair is generally
perfect. The regular MP 2000 disks go to 131 (album number 100 is skipped
in this library). Also included are the 7 IML series records. The set also
includes the large master directory book. The Chappell and TeleMusic
CD's were all that were available at the time. The Chappell disks include
101 to 122, except 110, 120, and 121. The Chappell AV series include
AV001 to AV031, except AV010, AV021 to AV024, and AV029. The
TeleMusic series includes TMCD1001 to TMCD1007. Bidding starts at
