Cliff Jordan & John Gilmore "Blowing In From Chicago"
John Gilmore, Clifford Jordan (ts) Horace Silver (p) Curly Russell (b) Art Blakey (d)
Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ, March 3, 1957 Original BLUE NOTE Lp pressing, #1549,
Deep Groove Mono, 47 WEST 63rd, NYC 23 address on both sides, with the "RVG" and "EAR" in runout, and the labels with no "R". Flat edge.
Vinyl is a solid VG Plus! There is a very shallow scratch across some of side 1. It is almost entirely inaudible on my Denon Mono cartridge. With only the faintest light clicks on a few rotations. No other surface noise. Side 2 prob. grades VG++. A great pressing overall professionally VPI cleaned.
The cover is VG maybe VG+, light yellowing of the back paste-on and 4 small water spots. Some rounding of the corners, some chipping of the spines and beginnings of splitting on 2 sides. , (see pictures).
