RARE 'BLUE NOTE' LABEL JAZZ VINYL LP

We're offering this rare Jazz LP in fantastic Condition. The label is grooved and bears the 47 West 63rd NYC address. The deadwax or run-out groove bears the 'ear' logo and the stamped initials 'RVG' plus the Cat Nos etched BNLP-4031 A and BNLP-4031 B.

On a piece like this I am reluctant to grade higher than VG+ but I have to say there are no scratches, marks, blemishes or other imperfections visible to either playing surface and I may well be understating the condition of the vinyl. I have cleaned it professionally using a Pro-Ject VCS Cleaner, and it plays on my Garrard 401 Turntable without any interference. In fact, it sounds amazing !

My assessment is that this record HAS probably been played sparingly by its previous owner and treated with great care. It came as part of a nice Jazz Collection from the early 60's all in similar condition and I suspect it has had just one careful owner from new.

The sleeve is solid with no tears or splits along the edges. There is shelf-wear in the usual places, along the top, bottom ,spine and the opening edge but nothing significant or out of the ordinary for an album of this vintage. The back of the sleeve is discoloured through age. There is no writing and the only stickers are two original import tax stickers in the back top right-hand corner. The sleeve is basically very sound. I would personally rate it VG.

I am storing the album in a perpex sleeve for protection and this is how it will stay in transit.
