THE RECORD OF SINGING, VOLUME 2: 1914 - 1925

13 LP RECORDS. EMI RLS 743. Includes Program of records and accompanying book. Book is oversized soft-cover, first edition (1979), by Michael Scott, 262 pages, illustrated.

This is a box set, released by Duckworth, Great Britain, the parts of which are described separately below:

BOX: Has an insert for the book, with has tiny tears on the upper corners, and one of the vertical cardboard flaps is loose -- the book was removed by collector (see below). The box itself has some corner fraying, and some white spots on the back, but over all is in excellent condition.

RECORDS: 13 12" / 33 1/3 speed LP's in original plastic sleeves, all MINT. I visually inspected each one and saw no scuffs or scratches, or even dust. I played the first song on the first one and there was very little to no surface noise (these are re-mastered from old 78's).

BOOK: Shows light shelf wear. There are no marked, torn, or missing pages.

Other items found with the set were a protective cardboard box, the original purchase receipt, and a mail-order company's flyer (see last picture).

NOTE: I DONT GRADE LABELS -- see pictures for that information. I use the eBay record grading system when listing LP's, which is mostly based on visual observation of the vinyl.

PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA BUYERS: I personally have experienced at least a two week delay with some buyers receiving items.
