This 12” diameter, 33 1/3 rpm, long-playing vinyl record is Dale Hawkins “Oh! Suzy-Q” Chess #LP-1429 ©1958, mono, deep groove labels, flat record edge. Matrix nos. are Chess-LP-8675 and Chess-LP-8676. The jacket (totally solid seams, good sharp corners, no cutout marks or stickers, slight ring wear & discoloration and original price on back in pencil) is VG++. The record’s playing surfaces shine like the sun with scattered hairlines and few scuffs. Visually, side one = VG++ and side two = VG+. Both sides play beautifully and I’d be hard pressed to say I heard more than a half dozen light ticks or any distracting background noise between tracks. This one’s a keeper.
