Prestige 7042, “Moondog” from 1957. This is the original W. 50th St. pressing with “RVG” pressed into the deadwax on both sides of the record. Vinyl plays like new and looks NM with virtually no marks or background sound. It is in the original rice paper sleeve which is somewhat torn. The heavy laminated jacket would also be “like new” except for a corner bump at top left. The seams are solid all around, there is no corner wear or ringwear, the jacket back is extremely clean, and there are no writing or stamps. Numbers include “Caribea”, “Lullaby”, “Tree Trail”, “Death When You Come to Me”, “Big Cat”, “Frog Bog”, “To a Sea Horse”, ”Dance Rehearsal”, “Surf Session”, “Trees Against the Sky”, “Tap Dance”, “Drum Suite”, and “Street Scene”. This is Moondog’s first Prestige LP.

Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $12.00 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
