THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME 1963 1st UK MONO PRESS BLACK / GOLD PARLOPHONE LABELS DICK JAMES CREDITS & SIGNATURE EARLY 1G / 1R STAMPERS MT TAX CODE VG Vinyl / EX Audio VG+ Labels / VG++ Sleeve I am proud to offer this amazing package not only because of the early 1G / 1R stampers but this also comes with the hardly ever seen actual Dick James autograph!! Vinyl and sleeve ~ The vinyl has light marks to both sides none are deep and the vinyl still holds a nice shine, playback is fantastic all the way through both sides so I can confidently grade as VERY GOOD. The labels are great as you can see in the pictures I've provided they hold the first press Dick James credits and MT tax code. The outer sleeve is the original 'gold' sleeve with the Angus Mcbean credit in the far right corner, the front and spine are in great condition and the rear although slightly aged is still in pretty good shape indeed again please refer to the pictures. Dick James autograph ~ Dick James was originally a singer in his own right during the 1950's and was in various bands but as his career slowed down he turned to publishing. In early 1963 he was contacted by Brian Epstein with regards to publishing The Beatles song Please Please Me, Dick James was played this song and promptly told Epstein it was a number one hit! He went on to publish and promote the Beatles and even got them there first TV break on the TV show 'Thank your lucky stars', he later went on to establish Northern songs Ltd with Lennon and McCartney and worked with them right through till 1969. The signature is clearly written on a blue page out of an autograph book and it is in remarkable condition, provided with the signature is the certificate of authenticity provided by the auction house from where it was originally purchased. I'm sure you will agree this is a great package and is different to anything that's Beatle related on EBay so good luck and if there are any questions please ask. ~I will post to anywhere in the world via the EBay international postal service which I find works great and all records will be packaged using professional record mailers.
