My fathers collection of Beatles LPs that he purchased in the early 1960s to when they released their last album in 1970. He is now almost 76 and with me picking the record collector "bug" up from him long ago he has passed these classic albums on to me. He is born and bred in Liverpool from an area called Edge Hill. Which is about two miles from where once stood Rushworths music shop in Liverpool city centre where he used to queue for hours to buy most of these albums, and he told me most of the time he was near the front of the queue. All of these records have been played over the years , some more than others and they have various degrees of signs of usage from minute surface scratches to scuffs to feelable scratches. There are no near mint records in this collection. But I will describe condition as best I can.The records are,
Please please me - black&gold mono- numerous visible scuffs and non feelable scratches.
With the beatles- mono- very light and few non feelable scratches. Jobete credit side 2.
Beatles for sale- mono- few scuffs and light non feelable scratches.
Help-mono-few light non feelable scratches.
Rubber soul mono-few light non feelable scratches.
Revolver- stereo- 1 feelable scratch(side1,track1) other non feelable scratches. side 2 matrix YEX 605-1
A collection of beatles oldies-mono- barely visible removal scuffs/scratches, Excellent condition.
Sgt peppers-stereo- 1 or 2 tiny faintest barely visible scratches- (noted for purists) but still Excellent plus, with card and red inner.
White album- mono-top loader- 0002701 extremely low number- visible and feelable scuffs/scratches to both discs. 4 pics, torn taped poster, black inners. Non EMI discs. The worst vinyl but highly collectable low number.
Yellow submarine-mono- scuff marks and a few light non feelable scratches, black inner, red lines to rear cover.
Abbey road-stereo- light non feelable scratches, white torn inner. misaligned apple to rear cover.
Let it be-stereo- 1 feelable scratch(side1,tracks 2and 3) other non feelable scuffs/scratches. white inner, red apple to rear cover. no box or extras.
The outer sleeves on these albums are very good to excellent plus condition. The white album has a slight watermark/staining to top front and top left front cover. Revolver is in the worst condition splitting in the laminate and someone coloured in the word Revolver to the rear cover. These albums are all 1st pressings and my father informed me that he did "swops" with at least two of these albums with friends at the time, but he can not remember the albums. As a record collector myself I know some of these albums are worth more than others. But they are being sold as 1 lot and there is no buy it now and I am understandably putting a starting price on them. If these albums sell they will be sent as FREE POSTAGE within the UK ONLY. Sent by Hermes 2nd class tracked and signed for postage If they sell abroad the postage will be a lot more and paid by the BUYER. I will only send if parcel is TRACKED AND SIGNED FOR to another country. There are NO RETURNS on these items.
