This is an original highly sort after FIRST PRESSING of Pink Floyd`s The Dark Side Of The Moon.
Amazingly 44 years after its original 1973 release it still manages to sell 10,000 copies a week.
Testimony to one fact. This is one of the most monumental LP`s ever made. Here it is in its complete
form with both posters,both crack back stickers, the original black inner sleeve, the original LP Jacket
and the original SOLID blue triangle label on the vinyl.
The original MIDNIGHT BLUE LP jacket is in VERY GOOD ++ condition. The only flaws really are on the back
of the sleeve there is a tiny amount of ring ware and very slight edge ware and to the front there is one of those
name tags that were everywhere in the 70s on the bottom right corner. I think it was called a franking machine.
The inside of the gate fold is lovely with just one slight crease. The sleeve is still very clean.
As you can see both the original crack back stickers are present but they have been stuck to the original
black inner sleeve. Both the original posters are here and in EXCELLENT order with no pin holes or tape marks
and the only creases are the factory folds, these posters have never been hung.
The vinyl looks superb to both sides under normal light, and still has a lovely luster to it. But has a lot of light surface
marks visible when the LP is tilted under a bright light and the result is surface noise, especially during the opening
track for the first 2 or 3 minutes. This is drowned out as the music and singing gets louder and the rest of side 1 plays much
better after the beginning of the opening track. Side two plays Very well indeed with static noise only there in the
quieter parts when your listening with a very critical ear.
The labels are in great condition with only a few spindle marks but this LP has been well played.
Due to the surface noise during track 1 and the quieter parts the best I would be willing to grade the vinyl
is very good but it does play better than that.The sleeve would be near excellent had the sticker not been there
but it is so Very good+ I cant grade the crack back stickers or the original inner sleeve other than they are there
because they have been stuck together. Both of the posters are EXCELLENT.
