About This Record. This is an ORIGINAL Very first pressing of The Moving Sidewalks one and only LP entitled "Flash" that was released in 1969 on Tantara Records to very little fanfare. Billy Gibbons did much better as ZZ Top, and no this LP has not languished in obscurity, it is just never seen and highly desired! But this is FAR far from a Keeper copy, but I do not know anybody that has one? Do you? I give up! I have been looking for a nicer one for decades and now I give up.
See my other cool rare stuff for sale like original Mystic Siva, Original Marble Phrogg and more to come. Thanks for checking in again soon! PLEASE CHECK my Feedback which will show you my grading, Cover/Vinyl, of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are bought them think of them and our experience. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: Fair (F). I know that Fair (F) is not on the official eBay record cover or vinyl rating scale, so let me explain, at least to the best of my knowledge. I have owned this LP for about 20 years. This is a uni-pack gatefold which looks STRONG VG or better on the outside, with rounded corners and some ring wear, but the right inside part of the gatefold is missing. Yep, just Gone! I bought this in 1991 in Emeryville at a Record Swap meet from a guy, and I have kept up with him, and I asked hin what happened and he is not sure as he claims not to be the original owner. To be Clear, What I mean is that the entire right-hand side of the inner-gatefold uni-pack cover is entirely missing. If you have it please let me know! This is one of the mysteries I would like to solve, but after 25 years, I give up. Please see my photos! I did not take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: VERY STRONG Very Good (VG) vinyl. The vinyl has some three (3) wickedly seriously bad looking marks on one side that looks like it was leaned against a radiator in the cold climate of somewhere in the midwest (They do NOT sound). It was not!!!; I am not sure what the three marks are from (but the other side actually plays a little better). This is a solid STRONG VG LP that actually plays much better (of course, as always), I know how to grade records and while I am not a dealer, I have sold over 5000 LPs on eBay now.
Labels. Excellent (EX) better labels (light spindle marks). Please see photos of all labels.
Inserts: Comes cleaned in a new rice-paper type sleeve after cleaning (see below).
Packaging. I place the vinyl in a new sleeve after cleaning it on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . . I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human.. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
