Vinyl: THE ARTWOODS, ART GALLERY, RARE 1966 FIRST UK DEEP GROOVE DECCA RECORDS MONO LP
Catalogue No. LK 4830.
This is a very obscure album from The Artwoods, released in 1966 on the Deep Groove, Unboxed Decca Record Labels with FFrr on each record label, and comes in a front laminated, Robert Stace Picture Sleeve.
Side 1 matrix and Stampers, XARL-7481-1 A & 1 B. Side 2, XARL-7482-1 A & 1 C.
With a careful play, the LP plays with an extremely clear sound quality through all tracks. The run-ins are super silent indicating no surface wear, there are no clicks, pops, ticks or background crackle.
RECORD LABELS.
Both record labels are in beautiful Near Mint condition, s ide 1 record label shows only two short spindle lines, and side 2 shows only four short spindle lines.
VINYL LP SURFACES.
Both vinyl surfaces are beautiful Near Mint condition and have clearly been very well cared for by the previous owner, there are no scratches or scuffs with just a couple of superficial hairlines.
THE PICTURE SLEEVE.
The picture sleeve is also a superb example with the glossy front panel in Excellent Plus condition, there are no tears or creases with only very minimal LP storage signs. The back panel of the sleeve is in Excellent condition with just light age toning around the edges and a hand written date Jan 67 on the bottom right corner, both edges and the pinched spine edge are perfect without any splits, and the print on the spine is also perfect.
This album is rare and seldom comes up for sale especially in this superb condition.
