Vinyl: ROY HALL, THREE ALLEY CATS/ DIGGIN’ THE BOOGIE, RARE 1956 UK BRUNSWICK 45 SINGLE

James Faye "Roy" Hall (May 7, 1922 - March 3, 1984), also known by his pseudonym "Sunny David", was an American rockabilly pianist and songwriter. Hall was an uncredited co-writer of the rockabilly classic "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On", a song recorded by Hall himself and later popularized by Jerry Lee Lewis. Although his writing claim was initially disputed, later reissues of the song credit Hall for his role in its conception.

This is a very rare 1956, original Made In England, Rockabilly, Brunswick Record Label, triangular centre 45 single for, Diggin’ The Boogie b/w Three Alley Cats.

Side 1 matrix and stampers are, 45-100424-1 C & 1 H.

Side 2 matrix and stampers are, 45-100425-1 C & 1 P.

The record labels are in very nice Excellent condition, both labels have clear Silver Printed text with just a few play signs.

Both sides of this rare single are in very nice Very Good Plus condition, the single plays through both tracks without major faults with just mild background static, there are no skips and the single produces a great sound quality on both tracks. There is a small scratch on Diggin’ The Boogie that thankfully only produces a few very light clicks.

The single comes in its original Brunswick Records Company Bag.
