Vinyl: The Beatles, PLEASE PLEASE ME, VERY RARE 1969 PARLOPHONE 1 EMI BOX *MONO* LP.

This is the rare 1969 mono version of The Beatles first UK album release, Please Please Me released in 1969 on the newly designed Black & Silver Parlophone Record Labels. For the first time since 1963 E.M.I changed from the familiar Black & Yellow Parlophone Record Labels to Black & Silver with one E.M.I Box Logo and released all of The Beatles Parlophone Albums in Stereo Format but only three titles, Please Please Me, Help! and SGT Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band were released in mono format. Please Please Me very rarely turns up for sale and is the rarest of the three mono releases.

The LP plays with an easy 8/10 for play quality on both sides without any clicks, pops, skips or background noise and overall a really nice mono sound quality from this heavy quality LP. Both record labels are in Near Mint condition without any fading to the silver text and with just a few light centre spindle lines on each side.
Side 1 of the LP is in Near Mint condition with just a couple of short insignificant hairlines.
Side 2 of the LP is in Excellent Plus condition with just a couple more hairlines than side 1 and a visible non feel-able surface hairline scratch across 4 tracks which do not affect the sound quality in any way.

The small mono printed front laminated three flip-back Garrod & Lofthouse picture sleeve is in very nice Excellent condition with just a few laminate pinches on the front and light handling signs on the back panel, both edges and spine edge are perfect.
