Vinyl: THE DEVIANTS, PTOOFF! 1967 RARE UK UNDERGROUND IMPRESARIOS RECORD LABEL LP.

The Deviants (formerly The Social Deviants) were an English rock group originally active in the late 1960s, but until his death in 2013, used as a vehicle for the musical work of writer Mick Farren. Farren has stated that The Deviants were originally a community band which "did things every now and then—it was a total assault thing with a great deal of inter-relation and interdependence". Musically, Farren described their sound as "teeth-grinding, psychedelic rock" somewhere between The Stooges and The Mothers of Invention. The Deviants have been described as a transition between classic British psych and the punk/heavy metal aesthetic of the 1970s.

This rare LP release was made in the UK as a Private Pressing released in 1967 via IT Magazine and comes with its original fold-out Poster Sleeve which when opened measures 24” x 36”.

Both record labels are in superb Near Mint condition, the labels show just a couple of faint signs of play.

Both sides of the heavy quality LP are in beautiful Near Mint condition, both sides of the LP are super clean and bright with only a few light non sounding surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs on either side.

Having played the LP it play’s with a great, clear sound quality through all tracks.

The LP is housed in its original fold-out Poster Sleeve which is in beautiful Near Mint condition, this sleeve is a stunning example without tears or creases with the original folds still extremely crisp and flat, all colours and printed text are perfect. The copyright print at the foot of the poster reads, Kensho & Kipps 1968
